We recommend that our clients have Wills prepared and that these are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect changes to their circumstances.
A Will allows the individual’s Estate to be passed as the deceased intends and it also allows Inheritance Tax planning and liabilities on death to be minimised.
Without a Will the individual’s Estate will follow the rules of Intestacy in England and Wales.
This provides a rigid order of who should benefit from the Estate, being:
- Spouse or civil partner
- Children/grandchildren
- Parents
- Brothers and sisters
- Grandparents
- Uncles and Aunts.
Whilst we do not offer a will writing service, we are certainly able to put you in touch with one of our recommended professional legal contacts. Get in touch if you would like to discuss this is more detail.
